WELSH border rescue workers went to great lengths recently to raise £20,952 for the Wales Air Ambulance.
Police officers, military, fire, ambulance and civilian workers trekked the equivalent of a marathon across the Brecon Beacons in the WAAT 4 Challenge to mark Dyfed Powys Police’s 40th anniversary.
Gary Philpott, who organised it with PCs Andy Pole and Mark Doran, said: “It was a great opportunity for all of our services to work together in aid of this very much needed service within our community.”
