WITH the new season now underway, it is time to get behind the Bulls and hope that this season can conclude in a far more satisfying way than the last. Relegation was very upsetting for everyone, but it is important that there is a positive atmosphere at Edgar Street this season if we are to witness a more pleasing campaign.

It will be very strange not seeing Graham Turner on the touchline, but in John Trewick Hereford have a manager who is very familiar with the club and has been given the opportunity to build his own team. The former West Brom star has managed to attract some very talented players, with the likes of Kenny Lunt, Leon Constantine and Lee Morris all penning contracts for the upcoming season. Fans will also be happy that Ryan Green has returned to Edgar Street, with the memory of his winning goal in the play off final assuring him legendary status. The decision to give Marc Pugh a contract looks to have been justified in the first game of the season at Morcambe, with the trick winger netting twice.

In a positive move for young people of Herefordshire, United have decided to make a concession season ticket available for those in full time education. This will only serve to enhance the strong support for the Bulls for students within the county, and secure a further generation of Hereford fans. At £162, it represents good value for money for a season’s worth of entertainment.

Further encouraging news for the club has been the impressive redevelopment of Legend’s bar into Radford’s. With things at Edgar Street seemingly running smoothly off the pitch, let’s get behind the team and hope that our newly assembled squad can give us a season to remember.
