BORDERS residents can follow in the footsteps of a folk-rock legend this summer during the 2009 Herefordshire Walking Festival.
Oysterband musician John Jones will walk to various local venues on his new Feet Don’t Fail Me Now tour, starting from Hay-on-Wye.
Following a stroll to Titley on May 22 for a performance at the village hall, he will then go on to Leominster’s Blue Note Cafe the following day and The Barrels in Hereford on May 25.
Walkers can then follow his route on the Ancient Trackways to a Black and White Hamlet walk in Titley on June 16 or the Titley Loop on June 20 as part of the nine-day festival.
Jane Lewis, Herefordshire Council’s tourism, food and marketing manager, said: “I am sure John will have a wonderful time getting to his tour venues on foot and I would encourage county residents to follow in his footsteps.”
