HEREFORDSHIRE Council is calling on residents to have their say on climate change.
Experts and residents will discuss the possible effects of global warming on the county at a series of public meetings.
The meetings take place in Hereford and the market towns with the first in Leominster library tomorrow (Friday).
Antonia Fitch, sustainability officer, said: “We want people to share their own experiences about how the issues are affecting their own families.”
Other meetings take place in Hereford library on February 4, Beech Business Park, Hereford, on February 7, St Katherine’s Hall, Ledbury, on February 16 and the Bromyard Centre on February 24. The last takes place in Ross-on-Wye library on March 4, while a meeting in Hay-on-Wye is also planned.
For more information contact Antonia on 01432 260132.
Meanwhile, Herefordshire Council has been praised as a “progressive local authority” by the government in the fight against climate change.
The carbon footprint calculator on myherefordshire.com drew special praise from Ian Pearson, minister of state for climate change and the environment.
