FREEMASONS in Hereford have been doing their bit for charity after they donated £1000 to help those with sight and hearing difficulties.

Past master of the Dean Waterfield Masonic Lodge John Knight presented the cheque to Sense after members raise the money during events throughout 2008 that included a pig roast and an old time music hall evening.

He said: “I chose Sense as they cater for deaf and blind people and as my own wife is in this category it felt very appropriate when I was in my year of office to support this very worthy cause.”

Sense has worked with deaf and blind people of all ages and their families for over 50 years to provide services and campaign for change.
