POLICE are urging bank customers to be on their guard in Hereford after they found another card cloning device in the city.

It was placed on the HSBC dispenser at Morrison’s supermarket and was seized by police at 2.30pm on Monday.

Three such devices had previously been spotted at cash machines in the city centre in July last year.

Police are reassuring customers that may have used the machine that as it is now in their possession any data it contains cannot be used for criminal purposes.

But they are warning customers to check the front of machines before inserting any card and to shield their hand when entering their PIN code.

Anyone with any information should contact PC Joanna Williams on 0300 333 3000.
