THE ambulance service has scotched complaints that ambulances from Hereford and Worcester are being switched to help out with calls in Birmingham and the Black Country.
In fact, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) claims the opposite is true with more ambulances travelling in the opposite direction.
The complaints started when the emergency operations centre at Bransford was closed and its work taken over at Brierley Hill.
WMAS says between December 1 and December 24 on 286 occasions ambulances from Birmingham and the Black Country attended incidents in Hereford and Worcester.
During the same period, 68 from Hereford and Worcester went in the other direction.
