A FILM company is calling on Bromyard residents to play their part in a mini feature film.

The Rural Media Company is appealing for extras to join the cast of Bromyard: The Movie.

The 40-minute production follows a young girl, picked to play the bride in a school play when her real-life parents are divorcing.

Figures from local schools, the Conquest Theatre and the HOPE Centre worked on the script, while most of roles have been taken.

But locals can still appear on the big screen, as dozens of extras are needed for a crowd scene in St Peter’s Church on March 14.

Extras need to appear in 40s clothing or similar, but producing director, Adrian Lambert, is hopeful of a good turnout.

“It’s a great opportunity to come along and get involved in a big project, and also experience what it’s like to be in a film,” he said.

Filming started early this year and the movie should premiere at the Conquest Theatre in Spring.
