THE fire service were called to a chimney fire in Herefordshire this morning.
Crews from Peterchurch and Ewyas Harold, along with the aerial ladder platform team, attended the fire at Poston House Farm in Peterchurch at around 8am.
At around the same time crews from Hereford were called to a hedge fire in Grafton Lane, near Ross road.
Alec Mackie, fire press officer, said that both fires were put out quickly.
