HEREFORD residents have been warned about an aggressive dog roaming a city neighbourhood.
A 21-year-old man was walking along the Great Western Way footpath between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday, December 27 when he was approached by a dark-coloured Staffordshire-sized dog.
Pete Butcher, police press officer, said the dog jumped and bit him under his left eye, causing him to lose consciousness.
When he came round he noticed further bite marks to his shoulders, back and left calf and received treatment at Hereford County Hospital.
The dog was unaccompanied at the time.
