A TEENAGER who suffers from severe eczema is auctioning celebrity pictures, Premiership football tickets and even a pink guitar for charity.

Fourteen-year-old Laura Weaver, from Belmont, has had the condition since birth and has to apply a combination of creams four times a day.

But the Wyebridge College student is determined to raise awareness of the condition and has organised an auction in aid of the Eczema Society, which will be held at Left Bank, Bridge Street, tomorrow (Friday).

Laura’s mum Lisa said: “Laura has organised the majority of it. She has been busy emailing and sending off letters to lots of people asking for donations for the auction.

“By the time she was 12, she was getting really fed up of having eczema. People would stare at her but, instead of hiding away, she decided to get involved with raising awareness of eczema and money for charity.”

Laura has secured signed photographs and memorabilia from Ricky Gervais, Yvette Fielding, Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon, tennis player Greg Rusedski and Connie Fisher – star of The Sound of Music.

In addition, there’s tickets to a West Ham football match, games and toys from Debenhams, a haircut with Trevor Sorbie and a pink electric guitar from Music Plus.

The auction starts at 7.30pm and tickets will be available on the door, priced £2.50.
