HEREFORD firefighters went into action this morning (Sat) to show that opening the door for a lady is all part of the service.
The pensioner had fallen badly at her flat near the city's St Owen Street fire station and couldn't get to her front door.
A crew went round to gain an entry after a relative of the woman raised the alarm.
After a check over, the woman was OK.
At 1.50am this morning, crews went to Hereford's ASDA superstore when fire alarms went off.
Checks on the site found no sign of fire or any other emergency situation.
