HAVE you heard the one about the horse that walks into a bar?
Well, Murphy may not step foot inside The Dog Inn, but that doesn’t stop him enjoying a pint of his favourite tipple.
The Shire horse is a regular at the Ewyas Harold pub and landlord Tony Blows says he is one of his best customers.
“He can’t go past the pub without stopping for a pint,” said Tony.
“Being called Murphy, he doesn’t like Guinness – he prefers real ale and his favourite is from the Spinning Dog Brewery.”
Owners Mark and Jean Jones have been bringing Murphy to The Dog for the past seven or eight months, and Tony is not complaining.
“He binge drinks but he never gets out of order and never needs a lift home.”
