ELDERLY residents living in a city cul-de-sac are angry over the large amount of drivers parking in their street when Hereford United play.
Over the last few years, up to 30 cars a time have parked in MacMillan Close, near Penhaligon Way, and surrounding roads, causing severe obstruction for residents.
A number of drivers have also reportedly been abusive when asked not to park there, with one driver allegedly threatening to break a resident’s windows.
Clive Hall, highways network manager, said Herefordshire Council had received an inquiry about the parking situation in MacMillan Close and was working to resolve the issue.
There were no parking restrictions in the street, but people could park at the Merton Meadow car park for £1 a day and people attending football matches are directed to use it, he said.
Hereford United declined to comment.
