THE Conservatives have won the Old Gore by-election.
Herefordshire Council press officer John Burnett said Barry Durkin had won by 21 votes. The turnout was 46%.
The by-election was called following the departure of Coun Tessa McLean, who is moving abroad.
The full results are: Barry Durkin, Conservative, 422 votes;John Gartside, Independent, 401 votes; Josephine Lane, Liberal Democrat, 241 votes; Adrian Worgan, Green Party, 49 votes.
