A DRIVER has been banned from driving for 14 months after failing to provide a breath specimen during a police investigation into suspected drink or drug driving.
David Charles, 43, of Oak Crescent, Clehonger, entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates.
The court heard that on July 12, in Hereford, Charles failed without reasonable excuse to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police.
The request was made as part of an investigation into whether he had committed a road traffic offence relating to driving while impaired or over the legal limit.

Magistrates imposed an obligatory 14-month driving disqualification, which could be reduced by 14 weeks if he successfully completes an approved drink-drive rehabilitation course by 21 July 2027.
Charles was also fined £120, with the court taking his guilty plea into account when determining the penalty.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £48, bringing the total financial penalty to £253.
