This is the first time this has happened; previously drivers have always helped.
I’m not sure what Sainsburys expect older people to do.

I am aged 76 and have chronic arthritis and my wife has Parkinsons, so we find it difficult and hard work to unload six or more crates packed with shopping.
Getting some help makes a big difference to us.
I have contacted Sainsburys to complain about this unhelpful and age-discriminatory behaviour, but apart from an acknowledgement, they have offered no explanation or apology.
I wonder if other readers have had this kind of experience.
