The revamp of a high street pub is underway with the date of its official reopening announced.
The former landlady of the King's Arms in Bromyard's High Street is now at the helm at the refurbished and reopened Queen's Arms, but her former pub is also gearing up for a relaunch.
Pub operator Punch Pubs had been searching for an experienced operator to take over from Angela O'Toole but on a new website, July 28 has been marked as its grand reopening.
Having closed in September 2025, according to the Campaign for Real Ale, the timber-framed building, which dates back to the 15th-century, is to be fully refurbished.

That will include having an external facelift, a full internal redecoration, and an audio-visual system will be installed to better the pub's sports coverage and live music events.
Scaffolding has since been erected and decorators have been seen giving the front of the iconic town centre building a new lease of life.
According to the new website, the pub will boast live music, karaoke, pool, darts as well as live sport.
