Soaring temperatures have forced a Herefordshire hotel, bar and restaurant to close its kitchen.
The Swan Hotel in Church Street in Kington, said the decision was made after kitchen temperatures reached 47C during the amber weather warning.
Closing on Thursday (June 25), the business said it was too hot for its team to work safely.
The decision came during an amber heat warning, with temperatures reaching up to 34C on Thursday in Kington.
A spokesperson for The Swan Hotel said: "Despite our efforts to reduce service, the temperature in the kitchen is currently 47C, and with tomorrow (Thursday) forecast to be even hotter, we simply don’t feel it’s safe to ask our team to work in those conditions."
The pub remains open for drinks.

In a further update on Thursday, the hotel said: "Temperatures are expected to reach a whopping 32C in Kington today.
"Perfect beer garden weather but it’s going to be another very hot and humid day for our team today some extra precautions will be in place.
"Our team will be taking extra breaks to cool down, so please bare with them and be nice!
"We made the decision last night to close our kitchen today. The temperature in our kitchen almost reached 50 degrees last night and it just wouldn’t be wise to open today with it being even hotter.
"But more importantly enjoy the sunshine but please remember our team will be working as quick as they can to look after you in the heat!
"We look forward to welcoming you for a cold beer today!"
