St Mary's CofE Primary School in Credenhill received 'expected standard' grades in all areas after a recent Ofsted inspection on April 21, 2026.
The Herefordshire school currently caters to 140 pupils.
Inspectors found that the overall achievement, attendance, behaviour, curriculum, teaching, and inclusion meet the 'expected standard.'
The Ofsted report stated that 'pupils generally achieve well and engage positively in learning' despite historically variable published outcomes and some shortcomings in a few subjects.
There has been a renewed focus on pupils' basic skills, with disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs receiving effective support.
The report noted that 'pupils behave well in lessons and around school,' thanks to well-understood behaviour expectations and effective routines.
Particular attention has been paid to maintaining a high attendance rate, "broadly in line with national averages and improving over time."

As for curriculum and teaching, a 'broad, balanced, and ambitious' curriculum was found in St Mary's CofE Primary School.
However, there was an acknowledged inconsistency in some subjects, which impacts the organisation and delivery of the sequences of learning.
In terms of early years education, the stage was set for a 'flying start', with early reading, writing, and mathematics skills being nurtured well.
Smart professional development for the staff, coupled with good governance, contributes positively to the achieved standard.
Finally, the school’s practice of creating secure relationships with the pupils and their families was highlighted as an effective measure aiding favourable conditions for learning.
