A BOOK lover’s dream has hit the road with the launch of a new mobile bookshop.
The Wandering Chapter, a pink “book truck” named Betsy, is bringing stories to life on wheels.
Heidi Macmillan, from Whitchurch, officially launched the business in April.
She said: "After my dad passed away in September, the idea of the book truck kept me focused and busy and as a result, The Wandering Chapter was born.
"I bought the van in January as a white Suzuki pickup truck and had it transformed into a pink bookshop on wheels, with the conversion completed at the end of March."
The dream began three years ago when Miss Macmillan started a book-focused Instagram and TikTok account, @what.heidi.reads.
She was inspired by similar book trucks in the United States.
The first pop-up was held in Ross-on-Wye.

She said: "Helen at The Hope & Anchor was so accommodating and it was an absolute joy to hold my very first pop-up there.
"Some people travelled over an hour to come and visit Betsy at the book truck after seeing her on social media."
Miss Macmillan said she was "completely blown away" by the response.
She now plans to take the truck on tour around the UK.
She said: "The idea is to host pop-up events all around the UK, where book lovers, BookTokers and Bookstagrammers can come together."
Her next event will take place in London this Saturday at Cotall Street Market, and she will also be on the lawns at Hay Castle during the Hay Festival from 23 to 31 May.
