CUSTOMERS have reacted with sadness to news that after five years of serving up farming treats a local cafe owner is selling up.
Emma Simcock who runs her namesake cafe in Bromyard is moving on after gaining a loyal following in the town.
Emma, 44, said the very best thing about her work had been her lovely customers.
She said: " My customers have been so lovely, it became a place where people could drop in if they were feeling a bit low too so it was nice to offer that. Everyone in Bromyard is so friendly and it has been lovely to be here, but it is time to move on."
That said, she added that maybe if the neighbouring hotel the Hop Pole had been developed as promised, things may have been different, with trade suffering due to it being left in a derelict state.
Emma, who opened the cafe on the first of September in 2021 wants to spend more time with her children, before deciding on her next venture.
She posted her regrets at leaving saying it had been a very difficult decision to sell the business after building it up.
She added:" I can no longer dedicate my time to the business. That and the rising costs associated with any business is proving too much for me
"It will be business as usual until a sale is agreed. I am hoping this will be done just after Folk Festival in September as contracts take time to go through.
"I'd like to thank all of my customers that have supported me since I took over the cafe and hope to see your continued support until I leave."
