EASTER is almost upon us, and with the kids off school plenty of families will be looking for something to keep them entertained.

Visit Herefordshire has rounded up a selection of Easter breaks as attractions across the county open for the spring.

A new two-night holiday camp for kids has been added at Oaker Wood.

Located just outside Leominster, the camp is designed for children ages 8–12 and runs from April 8–10.

It is packed with adventure activities such as zip-wires, code-breaker challenges, pizza-making, and woodland navigation.

Evenings at the camp involve children socialising around the campfire, making for a memorable experience.

Children will stay in glamping pods at Oaker Wood for £180, including food.

Cycling enthusiasts can look forward to the county’s iconic cider circuits, which are open this Easter.

Herefordshire is home to many cider orchards, and this season is a great time for cycling trips, particularly at the Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry Company.

Visitors can book a stay at Broome Farm B&B and cabins from £110 per night based on two sharing.

If you prefer walking, Visit Herefordshire recommends embarking on countryside hikes.

Hikers can take advantage of the new Visit Herefordshire App, which features over 60 curated trails.

You can take a four-night stay at Warmth & Wonder, a self-catering barn near Hay-on-Wye offering views of the Black Mountains.

This costs £432, based on four people sharing a week starting on April 6.

The river Wye, known for its scenic canoeing routes, offers long and short trips available via Hereford Canoe Hire.

The popular two-day Hereford to Ross-on-Wye trip is particularly recommended, covering 17 miles on the first day and 11 miles on the second.

Canoe hire is available from £80 per person for two days.

Tresseck Campsite offers camping with pitches starting at £13.50 per adult.

If you prefer to stay an extra night in Hereford, the Green Dragon Hotel offers doubles or twins starting from £123 bed and breakfast for a one-night stay.

Visit Herefordshire’s website is the go-to resource for more information on Easter and springtime activities, as well as various accommodation options throughout the county – including boutique hotels, B&Bs, glamping and self-catering options.
