Woods of Whitchurch: price reduced by Christie & Co

In September, Lucy Gardner announced she would be selling Woods of Whitchurch after over a decade of ownership, putting the "thriving" business on the market with agents Christie & Co for £700,000.

In an updated listing, the agents, who described the sale as a "superb opportunity", have reduced the price to £675,000.

Announcing the news of the sale, Ms Gardner said it "wasn't any easy decision to make", but felt it was time to embark on the "next season of my life" after the death of both her parents.

The "tastefully presented" village shop sells hot and cold foods, a variety of alcohol and locally grown vegetables, along with a wide range of goods and produce.

The cafe and delicatessen is furnished with custom-made pieces from Cornwall, and can accommodate 22 covers, with further seating available in the rear garden.

The sale also includes owner's accommodation, comprising two double bedrooms, an open plan kitchen/breakfast room, a living room and a bathroom.
