This is a reader's letter published in the Hereford Times on August 21.

LEOMINSTER community stalwart Joe Cocker makes a valid point regarding public transport, either we use it or lose it.

In a similar fashion pubs are vanishing; the Hereford Times cites many examples of the demise of public houses, an understandable trend given cultural change is the driving force.

A personal mention of concern with regard to Georgian architecture in Leominster; the town has some excellent, well-maintained examples, but sad to say there are a few falling into neglect, in Church Street and other areas.

May I gently remind those who own such properties, you are responsible for these valuable examples of England’s heritage and can apply for grant aided assistance with repairs via GOV.UK website or alternatively historicengland.org.uk.
