A SCHOOL will be closed for the rest of this week over safety concerns while repairs are carried out.

In an announcement issued via Herefordshire Council, Earl Mortimer College and Sixth Form Centre in Leominster said it will be closed between Thursday, July 17, and Friday, July 18.

The announcement said the school is closed for safety reasons following an electrical fault, pending repair of the fire panel.

"Work is available for students via Show My Homework or the Oak National Academy," it continued.

"Please be aware of ParentMail messages in case there is an update regarding the school being able to re-open more quickly."
