WHILE I welcome the improved bus service from Leominster to Hereford, I find it strange that we in the Leominster area have no regular bus services to our nearest neighbours with the exception of Ludlow.

There is no service to Bromyard (which could link to a Worcester service) and no services to Tenbury Wells ( our nearest neighbour) or Kington, Presteigne or Knighton.

There is a Friday service from Bromyard to Leominster for the market, but if you used it to go to Bromyard, you would have to wait a week to return.

In our rural county among the greatest attractions are the lovely villages with their mostly historic churches and the beautiful countryside. There are also many lovely pubs, so I have been told... I would welcome more circular services like the one that links Kingsland, Shobdon, Pembridge and Eardisland.

I am surprised that more pensioners do not use the existing services. Having said this, I have often found myself alone on buses or with just 2 or 3 other passengers.

Perhaps we need some event or campaign to promote services.
