I am 80 years old and will apply for the refresher driving course (online: Older drivers ‘need to ask if they are safe behind the wheel’, May 19).

This is the first time I have heard of the scheme and, having asked six neighbours over 70, none had heard of the scheme.

I am not surprised so few have opted to take the course as the lack of publicity is the issue. All I spoke to are interested now and at least some of them will apply.

Urge the council to publicise the course. Thank you for letting me know.
