IT IS interesting when driving at night to see the difference between those roads that have been resurfaced (a small percentage) and those that haven’t been resurfaced.

You can actually see the white lines in the middle of the resurfaced roads and the cats’ eyes reflecting, which makes driving at night a lot easier and safer.

Could Herefordshire Council perhaps manage to replace all non-functioning cats’ eyes (reflectors) and paint white lines where the lines have disappeared, on at least the major roads to start with?

Many people, particularly the elderly, won’t go out and drive at night, and this is one of the reasons why.
