THE potholes down our lane are deeper and wider than ever.
However hope sprang eternal when last week white rings appeared round them.
The weather and farm traffic have since made short work of these markings and no repair gang has appeared. This happens year after year.

It seems a continual waste of our money for a, no doubt, well-paid civil engineer to travel the county with an ineffective marker pen whose lines disappear overnight.
Either repairs need doing straight away, or that part of the process scrapped and gangs simply told to go and repair road “x” ?
