A VAGRANT has been handed a fine after entering the police station to try and get arrested and spitting in a police van.
Decklan Powell entered guilty pleas to two counts of criminal damage, one count of vagrancy and one count of theft from a motor vehicle when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in June.
He was found at Hereford Police Station on April 21 and said he “entered to commit an offence to get arrested”.
Powell had stolen one set of house keys and destroyed three more from police cars.
He was detained and spat in the cage of a police van.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs, but no compensation or costs were ordered to be paid.
