I HAVE just driven past the station in Hereford and seen the ‘Welcome to Hereford’ sign. Was a sign ever so ironic?
The front of the station looks like a builder’s yard, but at least a builder’s yard looks like something is happening! Tired, broken bollards, piles of grit and yards and yards of scrub. Is this really the best we can offer?
What are your thoughts?

We have a great art department at the college and some wonderful garden centres locally. Can’t the council ask them to work together and make Hereford station, actually a really nice looking building (but criminally underused: just look at all those window into empty rooms), into something that really does say ‘Welcome to Hereford’?
