A CHARMING Herefordshire pub has been put up for sale.

The Royal George in Lingen, on the Herefordshire and Shropshire border, is on the market with commercial agents Sidney Phillips with an asking price of £395,000.

The agents said the village pub has a "charming" open-plan main traditional bar and restaurant, and a current turnover of £140,000 per annum.

Inside, the pub boasts plenty of character, with exposed beams, exposed stone fireplaces, and a wood-panelled bar.

Outside are "superb" trade gardens with capacity for more than 90, and car parking space.

The pub also offers four-bedroom owners accommodation, the agents said.

The Royal George, which was a regional finalist for the 2024 Countryside Alliance Awards, boasts a 4.5 out of five star rating on reviews website Tripadvisor, with 24 of its 27 reviewers rating it as excellent or very good.

Reviewers have praised the "gem of a pub" for its "great food, beer, and really friendly staff", while Roger C said it was the "perfect country pub".
