I WRITE concerning the objections to the HowTheLightGetsIn festival in Hay (online: Decision made on HowTheLightGetsIn 2024 festival plans, May 9).
I too am a resident of Newport Street, and in fact the festival site is literally a stone’s throw from my house.
What are your thoughts?

I have never suffered from excess noise, anti-social behaviour or other forms of disruption.
In fact, the festival brings additional much-needed visitors to the town, and enhances our rich cultural diversity.
