Emergency crews called to Stoke Edith crash in Herefordshire

All three emergency services were called to Stoke Edith at around 7.25pm last night (May 9) after a motorbike was involved in a crash with a car.

An ambulance spokesperson said: “One ambulance, a critical care car from Midland Air Ambulance and two BASICS emergency doctors attended the scene.

"Upon arrival, we found a man who was the motorcyclist. He was assessed and had sustained serious injuries which were not believed to  be life threatening.

"He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.”

A fire service spokesperson added that one crew was sent to the scene.

"A car and a motorbike were involved in the collision and fire service personnel cleared a fuel spillage using absorbent pads from an environmental grab pack," he said.

"One male casualty was handed over to the care of the ambulance service, who attended along with police. The incident was marked as pending closure at 8.37pm."
