A LARGE police presence was sent to deal with a disturbance at a Hereford pub.

Up to seven police cars were seen 'screeching' in the car park of the Bay Horse Inn, on the edge of the city in Kings Acre Road, on Monday afternoon (May 6).

An eyewitness added that the vehicles had its sirens on and lights flashing.

However, despite the large police presence, no arrests were made and officers were able to deal with the incident peacefully.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We were called to the Bay Horse Inn on Kings Acre Road in Hereford shortly after 3.50pm on Monday following a report of a disturbance.

"Officers attended and the situation was resolved peacefully.  No arrests were made."

The Bay Horse Inn did not want to comment about the incident when approached by the Hereford Times.
