Hereford Magistrates’ Court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 47-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Marilena Divitantonio, had stolen food and alcohol worth £115 from Hereford’s Marks and Spencer supermarket on February 24.
Said, of Hansen Street, Cardiff, was handed a six-month conditional discharge, meaning he has avoided immediate sentencing for the offence. If he does not commit any further offences in the next six months, he will not be sentenced, but if he were to offend again, he would then be sentenced for this incident.
He was, however, ordered to pay compensation of £25 to Marks and Spencer, as well as court costs of £135. His guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when they considered whether to impose a penalty.
