AN ABUSIVE Hereford man was caught carrying drugs in Hereford, a court has heard.
Andrew Smith entered guilty pleas to one count of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and one count of possessing cannabis when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on April 17.
The court heard Smith had used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke violence in Hereford on December 13 last year. The victim was a woman, and he led her to believe that immediate violence would be used against her.

The 56-year-old was also caught carrying a quantity of class B controlled drug cannabis on January 9 this year.
Smith, of Walmer Street, Hereford, was fined a total of £140, and the cannabis was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed. He must also pay costs of £100 and a £48 victim surcharge.
Smith’s guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when they decided on the penalty.
