A SEX offender from Herefordshire has admitted committing child sex offences.

Thomas Worsfold pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and one count of attempting to cause or incite a female child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

He wanted to obtain sexual gratification by talking about sex and masturbation with a 12-year-old girl, and asked the victim to perform a sex act on herself.

The court heard that he did not reasonably believe she was over 16.

The victim's identity is protected by a court order due to her age.
