AN ABANDONED car is believed to have been set on fire in a Herefordshire field.
Firefighters were called to the field off the A465 at Moreton Jefferies at about 3am this morning (Wednesday, April 17) after reports of a fire, with one crew from Bromyard Fire Station rushing to the scene.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said they believe the car was deliberately set alight.
A spokesperson for the service said: "A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Bromyard Fire Station was called at 3.06 am on April 17 to a vehicle on fire in a field off the A465 at Moreton Jefferies. An abandoned car in a field was well alight and extinguished using a hose reel jet. Police were informed as it was believed to be deliberate. There were no casualties."
West Mercia Police confirmed that they had been informed of the incident, but said that the fire service were still investigating.
