A TRUCK driver has been banned from the roads after he was caught drink-driving on a busy Herefordshire B-road.
David Badger entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford this month.
The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 75-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Chris Read, had been caught out on the B4362 in Shobdon after getting behind the wheel of an Isuzu truck while over the drink-driving limit on January 31.

An evidential breath test revealed he had 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Badger, of Woodland Avenue, Kidderminster, was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £200 for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to their decision on the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and an £80 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
