A BARN has caught fire in Hereford with crews called to the scene.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at a barn in Breinton overnight, with one fire engine remaining at the scene this morning (April 13).

A fire service spokesman said three Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue crews, all from Hereford, plus a water carrier, were in attendance.

"The barn was well alight at one end," the spokesperson said. He confirmed that no one was injured.

The cause of the fire was not given by the spokesperson.

Recently, there was a large fire in Hereford city centre as Victoria House in Eign Street had its roof devastated by flames.

The fire broke out on March 26, with the fire service spending hours extinguishing the major blaze.
