A DRUG-driver caught out in Hereford has been banned from the roads after admitting committing an offence by using cocaine and cannabis before driving.
Robert Smith entered a guilty plea to two counts of driving while over the drug limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in March.
The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 32-year-old had been caught in Greyfriars Avenue in Hereford after getting behind the wheel of a black Hyundai I30 while over the drug-driving limit on August 9 last year.

An evidential blood test revealed that he had 123 microgrammes of class A drug cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine and 3.5 mg of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limits are 50 mg and two mg respectively.
Smith, who gave the court a 'care of' address in Bartestree, was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £50. He must also attend up to 15 days of rehabilitation activities with the probation service.
He was also found to be driving the Hyundai without third-party insurance on the same day, but was not given a separate penalty for this offence.
