AN ABUSIVE man intended to leave his victim with "a fear of unlawful violence" after a Hereford incident.
Lee Hitchings admitted being abusive, insulting or threatening when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that Hitchings had "intent to cause that person to believe that unlawful violence would be used against him, or to provoke the immediate use of unlawful violence whereby that person was likely to believe violence would be used, or it was likely that such violence would be provoked".
Hitchings, of Chartwell Road, Hereford, committed the offence on July 29 last year.
He was represented in court by defence solicitor Chris Read.

Hitchings was handed a six-month conditional discharge, and was told to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £26.
He was not ordered to pay compensation, with magistrates saying it was "not appropriate".
Magistrates added that they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to their decision.
