A LARGE search for a missing person was launched by police and the fire service after they were called to a "rescue from water" in Hereford.

The emergency services were called on Easter Monday, April 1, at around 1.30pm.

They were searching for almost four hours without success before they found the missing person safe and well on the riverside.

"The drone, boats and bankside water first responder crews found no persons and a decision was made to cease the search.
