The court heard from prosecutor Mrs Khan-Lodhi that the 38-year-old's threatening, abusive, or insulting behaviour had caused a woman harassment, alarm, or distress in the incident in Hereford on June 20 last year.

Magistrates in Birmingham handed Lindsey, of Hamilton Road in Tipton, Dudley, a £350 fine for the offence at the hearing in March, saying that they had taken the guilty plea into account when coming to their decision.

Lindsey was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £140 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
