A HEREFORD doctor's surgery will again be closed today (Monday).

Hereford Medical Group (HMG) has said that its Quay House surgery will be shut due to staff shortages. This will also be the case on Friday (March 15).

It is the second successive week that the Westfaling Street site has had to close on some days due to not having enough reception staff.

It was shut last Monday (March 4) and Tuesday (March 5), while South Wye Medical Centre was closed on the Thursday (March 8).

Bobblestock Surgery was also shut last Tuesday.

Meanwhile all HMG sites will be closed from 12.30pm to 4.30pm on Wednesday (March 13) for compulsory staff training. 

A HMG spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time. 

"All other HMG sites will remain open, and patients will be able to continue contacting us for routine matters using the form on our website, www.herefordmedicalgroup.co.uk"

The spokesperson added that, for out of hours services, people should contact 111 and for life-threatening emergencies, to dial 999.
