A DRUG-DRIVER caught out while behind the wheel of a van near a Herefordshire town's football club has been banned from the roads.
Adam Hughes entered a guilty plea to one count of drug-driving when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard that the 36-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Andrew Cleal, had been caught out near Bromyard's football club, on the B4203, while over the drug-driving limit on October 4 last year.
He had been driving a VW Caddy.

An evidential blood test revealed that he had 3.5 microgrammes (mg) of controlled drug delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two mg.
Hughes, of Farm Road, Stourport-on-Severn, was fined £289 and received an obligatory one-year disqualification from driving. Magistrates said they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £116.
