A WOMAN was injured after a car crashed through railings near a busy Hereford road. 

Damage was sustained to both the front and side of her Vauxhall following the incident that happened at Meadow Close, next to the Pizza Hut delivery shop in the slip road between St Martins Street and Ross Road, shortly before 12.20pm yesterday (Sunday). 

Another car was involved in the crash, but the driver was uninjured.

An ambulance spokesperson said: "One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. Upon arrival, we found a woman who was the driver of the first car.

"She was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. She received self care advice before being discharged at the scene.

"No further patients required treatment from ambulance staff.”

A police spokesperson added that officers received a call at around 12.30pm with a report of a crash in St Martins Street, Hereford.

"Officers attended the incident to find two vehicles involved," he said.
