A HOMELESS man has appeared in court for assaulting three people by beating, stealing cash and breaking bail conditions.

Ian Maher carried out the assaults, theft and breach of bail conditions in Hereford between December 2022 and February 2024, according to prosecutor Charlotte Morgan.

37-year-old Maher, who is of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing.

The bail conditions had specified that he should not contact any of the three victims of the assaults either directly or indirectly, or go to the Kingsway in Hereford. However, he breached these conditions and was remanded in custody while the court proceedings continue.

He pleaded guilty to all of the charges before him at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on February 27.
